This live view comes from the Jiantanshan hiking area above northern Taipei. Because the ridge sits close to the built-up city, the camera is a useful way to compare the skyline, basin visibility and hill conditions before starting the walk.
Taipei City Government’s trail information identifies Weifeng/Breeze Platform as a viewpoint on the Jiantanshan route and describes wide city panoramas along the trail. From different points on the ridge, official guidance notes views that can include the Tamsui and Keelung rivers, Guanyinshan, Taipei 101 and the Songshan Airport area.
